Aside from a Torx 6 screwdriver, there is nothing more essential than a good service or "Take Apart" manual.

Official Apple Manuals
Apple publishes a series of Service Source manuals, intended for use by authorized service centers. Apple really frowns on unauthorized distribution, (having printed them on UnObtanium paper,) but the following Service Source manuals are known to exist.
